Hello,
I am new to Corteza and currently doing an analysis if it fits the needs as a data management platform for a DWH project.
For this purpose the inline-editing feature is crucial for me, unfortunately, I cannot set it up even after following the procedures described in this video:
For this I created a new module and a record list page, but even then when I click the edit icon on a cell it opens a popup.
Is there anything new to consider in the more recent versions of Corteza? Any hint would be appreciated.
Regards,
Tobi
The videos are a bit out of date. You need to enable it on a RecordList that is on a record page.
Try looking at the default Opportunity record page and inspect the record list(Products) configuration there.
Hello @jfortun,
thank you for your input that helped me already a lot. But one thing I cannot get to work is, that when I create a related record list page, I cannot just add a block “record list”, but instead I am always forced to put a “record” block as well.
Because otherwise receive the following error message:
when I try to save this. Is this the expected behaviour or am I missing something?
My goald would be to just have a record list on a page and use this for all CRUD actions.
Would that be possible?
Thank you for your support!
Tobias
If that is true then you’re not creating a record list page.
This is only available on record pages. If you save a record you need to also save the required field.
Inline editing is for related records (Products of this Opportunity).
You can always use change how record list records are opened (open them in a modal).
That removes the need for a record page and inline editor.
I can only see the option you have indicated on the Record Page:
see following posts…
But there I do not have any added value because it is just a record block. On the record list page on the other hand I do not have the option on the top but only on the bottom:
see following posts…
But even if I enable this it will always take me to the record page when I select a record or only open a window where I can just edit one field.
If I understand you correctly, I will not be able to have inline editing on the record list pages, but only if I reference my Lookup Table from another module and the list object is part of another module’s record page. Is that correct?
Thank you again very much for your input.

Tobias
